Details
The Adams Carina 44 is the ideal size for a cruising yacht. With her centreboard design she will appeal to sailors needing a shallow draft but once out in the blue water with board down she will no doubt preform well both on the wind and downwind. She has seen some serious upgrades over past years and is presenting very nicely as the images will attest to. Sellers have sailed her on the east coast and have been working toward some serious cruising but focus has changed now, so they are offering their yacht up for sale after doing the work they thought they needed for a safe and comfortable cruising lifestyle. Just to mention here a couple (but not all) of the expensive upgrades that include replacing the engine and refrigeration. Internally she presents well and having twin doubles along with a good sized Vee double forward as well as a second shower/head compartment, guests or crew are well catered for. As an added bonus, she is an Australian Registered vessel and has seen a recent anti-foul and hull polish in July 2023.

Accommodation
Stepping through the companionway out of the cockpit down the companionway stairs you notice the how this yacht has been cared for. All the bright work has been recently varnished and original coachroof lining has been removed and replaced with a white laminate to give the yacht a nice light and airy feel now and compliments the teak and holy cabin sole.
There is access to the portside double cabin featuring a hanging locker along with a lower storage locker with small desk above. Three open storage compartments run along the berth to the outside of the cabin. Access under berth and to engine bay are a feature of both port and starboard aft cabins.
On the starboard side of the companionway you have the aft dedicated Head/Shower cabin with vanity with H + C Mixer and storage below and behind bowl. Electric head unit and shower over. Aft of here is the starboard double berth with similar features to portside berth.
Back out in the main cabin the L shaped galley is to port and forward of here is the main saloon seating. This is around a timber saloon table and in a u shaped configuration. Opposite the galley you have the nav station above the two large refrigeration compartments.
Forward of this is a long saloon bench style seat that can double as a berth if required. Stepping forward through the saloon you pass the second shower/head cabin to port and enter the forward Vee double. Having a large deck hatch over gives plenty of natural light and air movement here. There are open lockers port and starboard beside the berth along with draws and lockers forward and to starboard of the bunk. A small desk is included above the draws. Access forward through an opening locker at the head of the berth.

Remarks
Overall this Adams Carina 44 will make a great vessel to explore our coast in detail and also be very capable of taking on offshore passages as required. She will be a fast boat as Joe Adams had a reputation of designing a finer hull shape and combining that with a comfortable interior. There has been a lot of upgrades done over the last 10 years and we recommend having a closer look at this yacht if a shallow draft and plenty of upgrades are something you have been looking for. We have an extensive file of images showing all manner of details aboard and including out of water shots taken during the last haulout and anti-foul in July 2023.

Please contact listing broker Rob Devers, Mob: 0407112265 or Email: rob@yachtdomain.com as I will be delighted to assist.
